CONCEALED ROLLER BLINDS
In-wall roller blinds – the SP and SP-E systems are primarily used in newly constructed buildings. However, after making necessary changes to the lintel, these products can also be installed in existing structures. It is important to plan for the use and installation of these types of solutions during the building design phase, which allows for more effective utilization of the functional features of these systems. In-wall roller blinds provide excellent thermal insulation because they do not interfere with the structure of windows, doors, and lintels, thereby not affecting the energy balance of the building. Moreover, these products fit perfectly into the façade, becoming an integral part of it.
The front of the roller blind box also serves as a base for any finishing material (such as plaster or clinker), making the box an inconspicuous element of the building’s facade. The SP and SP-E systems were developed to provide protection against heat loss. This was particularly appreciated by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt (PHI), which recommended the use of both solutions for boxes with a size of 165mm or less in passive buildings. A prerequisite is a properly executed installation in a previously insulated lintel, in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. In addition, the window joinery should meet appropriate parameters, including the Uw heat transfer coefficient of the window being lower than 0.80 W/(m²K) and the Ug coefficient of the glass not exceeding 0.70 W/(m²K).
An additional advantage of in-wall roller blinds is the possibility of using an independently operating mosquito net, which allows for protection against insects. As with adaptive systems, the curtain of the in-wall roller blind can be made of foam-filled, plastic, or extruded profiles.
Optional equipment
- SECURITY - roller blinds can act as a deterrent to potential intruders, making us feel safer in our homes
- ACOUSTIC INSULATION - roller blinds allow for the reduction of noise from outside
- EXCELLENT THERMAL INSULATION - roller blinds significantly reduce heat loss through windows and doors in the winter
- SUN PROTECTION - roller blinds effectively protect rooms from overheating in the summer
- PRIVACY - roller blinds protect the interior of our homes from the view of unwanted people, allowing us to feel more comfortable
- WINDOW PROTECTION - roller blinds protect window joinery from harmful external factors such as wind, rain, or direct sunlight
- COST SAVINGS - roller blinds contribute to reducing heating costs in the winter and air conditioning costs in the summer
- INSECT PROTECTION - roller blinds, thanks to their integration with mosquito nets, provide a barrier that protects the interior of the house from annoying insects
